Getting started
Create your first invoice
Go from a blank workspace to a sent invoice in a few minutes.
Before you start
Nothing else needs to be set up first. You can add a customer while you are writing the invoice, and fill in your business details afterwards — though doing that first means you won't need to re-send anything.
Write and send it
Invoices start as drafts, so nothing reaches your customer until you choose to send it. Take as long as you like over a draft.
- Go to Invoicing and start a new invoice.
- Pick an existing customer, or add a new one inline.
- Add your items, quantities and rates.
- Apply a tax rule if the work is taxable.
- Check the totals, then send it.
What counts toward your document limit
On the Free plan you can create three documents a month. Invoices and estimates both count. Drafts you never send do not — the limit applies to documents you issue. Starter and Pro have no document limit.
